It’s hard to believe it’s already been two whole years since the release of Meg’s Monster. Looking back, the past year feels like such a blur that it’s hard to remember everything we did, but we took on a variety of initiatives—most notably, developing DLC for the game and preparing for the Japanese physical version’s release. Still, we wanted to do something to celebrate this milestone, so while it may be modest compared to
our first anniversary, we’ve created a special page to express our gratitude to all the fans who have supported us thus far!
Unfortunately, most of what happened in 2024 was limited to Japan only. However, we’re planning to provide more content for regions outside of Japan as well in 2025, so please stay tuned!
A look back at the year
2024/5
Around this time, we were in the final stretch of DLC development, though we couldn’t announce it just yet…! As a little break, we created some LINE stickers based on the
Meg's Monster Misadventures comic series currently running on X.

2024/7
We went to BitSummit!
Among the Meg’s Monster merch on offer were these cute
Meg’s Monster magnets and this
Victor-themed glasses-cleaning cloth.
We also started a crowdfunding campaign for the Meg’s Monster orchestral concert! It ended up being a great success, raising around 15 million yen! (Approximately 100k USD)

2024/8
We released a free browser game starring our studio mascot called "Once Upon a Cat" to celebrate our studio’s anniversary! In this game, you take control of the titular cat on a sweet little journey through the worlds of several Odencat games! It’s only available in Japanese as of right now, but we plan to release it in English and Korean soon, so please stay tuned!
2024/9
The Nintendo Switch physical version of "Meg's Monster" was announced and exhibited at the Hapinet booth at TGS (Tokyo Game Show).

At TGS, that
Kairosoft had a huge booth, and we had the chance to join the exhibition as a friend! We put together an exhibit filled with all our love for Kairosoft.

2024/11
Around this time, we announced the release date for the physical Nintendo Switch version of Meg’s Monster—which includes an all-new DLC entitled Meg’s Monster: Lost Memories—and pre-orders began.
Please note that although the physical version is only releasing in Japan, with Japanese packaging, it will still include all of the 12 languages the game supports. So if you decide to import one, you can even enjoy the new DLC before its worldwide digital release! You can
import one here.

2024/12
We released Puppet Memories, a free-to-play browser game to promote the upcoming DLC for Meg’s Monster. This is a short side story featuring Nancy as the protagonist.(The promo game will eventually be available in English. Please wait!)
2025/1
We released an all-new
Meg’s Monster Warm Blanket. It’s warm and fuzzy, but also nice and thin, making it perfect for use in any season.

2025/2
We opened a limited-time pop-up shop at PARCO in Ikebukuro! It featured plenty of new and exclusive merchandise—including T-shirts, hoodies, and acrylic standees—inspired by the idea of an Underworld festival. A signing event with Meg’s Monster artist Thomas Praestholm was also held.
We’re planning to sell some of this merchandise online with the option for international shipping as well, so be sure to subscribe to the
odencat newsletter if you want to be notified when it becomes available! (Or follow us on
X or
Bluesky!)
The long-awaited Meg’s Monster orchestral concert finally took place! The show was completely sold out, with all tickets going to supporters from our crowdfunding campaign, and there was even a surprise appearance by the game’s vocalist, Laura Shigihara, at the end! Original concert merchandise was also available for purchase to attendees.
Currently, only
T-shirts are being produced on a made-to-order basis.
2025/3
Finally, we just announced that Meg's Monster merchandise will be made available for a limited time at the Indie Game Corner inside the PARCO in Kichijoji!
